From Arches National Park:
This long-nosed leopard lizard beats the heat under a juniper's shade, munching on insects, spiders, and smaller lizards that cross her path while keeping a close eye on admiring visitors. A beautiful spotted pattern, ability to leap up to two feet high, and to inflict painful bites suggest her leopard alias. (ls)
