Great Horned Owlets

From Yellowstone National Park:




A couple of great horned owlets perch in a cottonwood tree at Fort Yellowstone in Mammoth Hot Springs waiting for their parents to bring them some food. There is a plentiful population of Uinta ground squirrels, which the owls eat, at Mammoth making this good habitat for them.
