Hi! My name is Calypso! Yes, it's the time of the year when the Calypso Orchids are out, and they are springing up in places where they haven't been seen for years. Calypsos are only about 6" tall and for the most part, their flowers are magenta. However, you may occasionally find a white one. Very striking in appearance, white Calypsos are a color variation, not a separate species. Be very careful where you step when you're looking for these little beauties. A broken stem or crushed leaf will likely kill the plant. ~cv
