300-pound Halibut

From the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS):

WTHalibut is that? — Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is a 300-pound Halibut captured near Homer wharf in Alaska around 1904 (Cook Inlet. Seldovia District.). While it's not the record holder for a halibut, we're pretty confident these folks weren't too disappointed. Pictured from left to right: Smith, R.W. Stone, Penberthy (back), and Nicholi (front).
