White-tailed Jackrabbit

From the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Mountain-Prairie Region:

Lepus townsendii or the White-tailed Jackrabbit is seen here on the Seedskadee NWR. DYK: That in their northern part of their range they will turn white during the winter to help blend in with their snow-covered habitat, then in spring return to this grayish brown color.
