Subalpine Wildflower Meadows

From the U.S. Department of the Interior:

At 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape. Subalpine wildflower meadows ring the icy volcano while ancient forest cloaks Mount Mount Rainier National Park's lower slopes. Aaron Lemperes captured this beautiful shot from Mazama Ridge of Mount Rainier through the fog during the peak of wildflower season.
