Gray Seals

From USFWS National Wildlife Refuge System:

You can see gray seals in coastal waters and at Nantucket National Wildlife Refuge (https://www.fws.gov/refuge/Nantucket/), about 21 acres at the very tip of the Coskata-Coatue Peninsula in Massachusetts. In their cold water habitat, they use blubber to maintain their body temperature. During mating, pupping and molting, they gather into large groups. At sea they are usually found alone or in small dispersed groups.
