Take the time this holiday season to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors! Don't forget to take an extra look at the more common creatures too, you might see things you've never seen before. This female northern cardinal is enjoying a meal of spikey-looking seeds, commonly referred to as sand spurs in Florida. She sat in the same spot on the ground and ate dozens of these. Thanks to her and her fellow cardinals, there likely will be less around to get stuck in our bare feet!
