Delmarva Fox Squirrel

From USFWS Northeast Region:

The Delmarva fox squirrel has leapt off the Endangered Species List! This squirrel is part of the ‘Class of ‘67’ - the first species protected under our nation’s endangered species law. State wildlife agencies and Delmarva landowners and residents, working in partnership with our agency, helped bring this native animal back from the brink of extinction. This#WildlifeWin demonstrates how the Endangered Species Act can be an effective tool to protect and recover imperiled wildlife from the brink of extinction.http://1.usa.gov/1Y9jL5g
