Science in the Parks—Majestic and statuesque, bighorn sheep are an iconic species in North America. However, these animals are vulnerable to diseases such as pneumonia across the west.
The #USGS studies bighorn sheep movements, population structures, and habitat use in and near Glacier National Park. Scientists have collected GPS data as well as genetic and other samples on over 100 bighorn sheep east of the Continental Divide. More info: http://bit.ly/1O8bvj8.
