Great Green Macaw

From the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service:

The military and great green macaws are now listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. 

These birds are losing vital habitat and the regulatory mechanisms in place to protect them were not adequate enough to do so. As a result both macaws are at risk of extinction throughout their ranges and in need of protection. Learn more about our work to help parrots: http://1.usa.gov/1heYnLh
