Yellow Warbler

From USFWS National Wildlife Refuge System:

"I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn." --Henry David Thoreau

North America has more than 50 species of warblers. This is the yellow warbler, photographed at McNary National Wildlife Refuge, WA, which is an incredible place to go birding. The refuge has a terrific photo album of warblers:http://1.usa.gov/1QrdhIw
