Morning at the Office

From the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS):

Morning at the Office — Picture this. It's 10am on a Friday. You're drinking your cup of Joe for that quick pick me up, and counting the hours till the weekend begins. The day's just begun and you're already one foot out the door. Guess what? We've been out since the sunrise doing routine site visits to service streamgages which are continually providing reliable data to people and organizations who depend upon them. This photo was taken at the Columbia River gage in Stevenson, Washington (http://on.doi.gov/gage14128600) on Jan 15th by one of our Pathways intern students, Ann McGowan. Ann was shadowing one of our hydrotechs, Sylas Daughtrey, as he went over the procedures for servicing the gage station and maintaining the site. Just another day at the office!
