Indigo Bunting

From the USFWS National Wildlife Refuge System:

An indigo bunting rests at Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge (http://go.usa.gov/3Wakv), which straddles the New Jersey/New York border northwest of New York City. Did you know indigo buntings migrate at night, using the stars for guidance? They migrate between breeding grounds in eastern North America to wintering spots in Florida, the Caribbean and northern South America. Photo by Matt Zeitler /orangebirding.com
