War Against Carp

On the Seventh Day of Fishmas, sustainable management gave to us…Seven million carp whose days are numbered on Malheur National Wildlife Refuge! This year, a fierce battle has been waged against the invasive fish attacking pristine Pacific flyway habitat at the refuge. It's tough work but staff have plenty of tools in their tool box - even dynamite! - and are hopeful about the future elimination of carp and the reversal of damage done.
