EPA, City of Atlanta and more than 600 Citizens to Cleanup Downtown on April 24 for Earth Day

(ATLANTA – April 23, 2012) On Tuesday, April 24, EPA Regional Administrator Gwen Keyes Fleming will join Mayor Kasim Reed, Atlanta Falcons Fullback Ovie Mughelli and partners at the Centennial Olympic Park Amphitheater to recognize the Downtown Atlanta Earth Day Cleanup Challenge participants. EPA Region 4 will also announce the 2011 Presidential Environmental Youth Award Winner, and recognize other young environmental champions

Near intersection of Marietta St. and Andrew   Young International Blvd.
Atlanta, Ga.

NOTES:          Prior to the awards ceremony, media are invited to join Regional Administrator Fleming and Mayor Reed at Renaissance Park (166 Pine St. – intersection of Pine St. and Piedmont Ave.) between 10:15 and 10:45 a.m. A media tent at Centennial Park Amphitheater will be provided.
