US EPA and Northern Command to Provide
Emergency Response
Equipment to Nogales,
Agua Prieta
SAN FRANCISCO – On Wednesday, November 7, representatives from EPA’s Pacific Southwest region and US Northern Command will participate in a ceremony to transfer needed emergency response equipment to the fire departments of Nogales and Agua Prieta. Other participants include the Mayor of Nogales, Mexico’s Federal Environmental Enforcement Agency, and representatives of the US and Mexican Consulates.
The equipment
provided to the Agua Prieta and Nogales Fire Departments include protective
suits, self-contained breathing masks, chemical testing kits, and tools
necessary to respond to hazardous material spills.
