Carbon Disclosure Project Lists Northrop Grumman on Its Carbon Performance Leadership Index for Improved Performance and Transparency

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was commended by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for actions it is taking to reduce emissions and mitigate the risks of climate change. The company was one of 15 firms featured in CDP's Carbon Performance Leadership Index (CPLI). The CPLI highlights those companies within the S&P 500 Index that have demonstrated a strong approach to climate strategy and emissions reduction in their CDP responses. Northrop Grumman improved its environmental disclosure score from the CDP from 80 to 90 over the past year.
