Richard Higgins submitted to the Share The Experience photo contest this great shot of a black skimmer he saw at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge in Florida. The black skimmer drags the lower part of its incredible bill along the water to catch fish. The national Share the Experience photo contest – which offers prizes as well as recognition – closes December 31.
