Wetland Bird of the Week: Ross Goose
The Ross Goose looks very similar to the Snow Goose but is primarily distinguished by it's smaller size and lack of “black lip stick/grinning patch” on it's bill. These geese migrate from their breeding grounds in Canada to the Central Valley of California where they winter. They are often seen along highway 161 on the Lower Klamath Refuge.
