CINCINNATI, O.H. -
A clean, diverse and thriving water ecosystem is vital to the success and strength of a region and its people. And a major financial grant announced today will help ensure that Greater Cincinnati’s water supply and waterways will continue to thrive for generations to come.
University of Cincinnati (UC) and Thomas More College received grants totaling $500,000 for critical hydrology research programs that will also drive science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Through The Duke Energy Foundation, each school will receive $250,000 in grants over two years to support fish and water quality studies, student internships and summer training programs for science teachers.
