CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
Duke Energy representatives deconstructed an outdated refrigerator today and revealed how customers can take control of their energy costs, earn extra cash and support a cleaner environment by having an old refrigerator or freezer picked up for recycling.
The “Filet-O-Fridge” demonstration shows how technology and innovation can save energy, create jobs and conserve natural resources. Participants in the program receive a newly increased $50 incentive, formerly $30, for recycling an outdated refrigerator or freezer.
