American Martens or Pine Martens are members of the weasel family, which all share similar characteristics of long slender bodies, sharp teeth and a ferocious hunting ability. Badgers, Otters and wolverines are also members of the weasel family. Pine Martens are well designed to slip into tunnels of burrowing animals, and climb trees to find birds and squirrels. They are an extremely adaptable and quite the treat to see in the wild. Have you ever seen a weasel? Share your photo below.
