Penobscot River

From NOAA Fisheries Service:

Maine Attraction! New England’s second largest river, the Penobscot crosses one-third of Maine. Its home to three species listed under the Endangered Species Act, and hosts the most Atlantic salmon in the U.S. Will it overcome its challenges? NOAA and partners, including the Penobscot Indian Nation, are committed to better managing the Penobscot River ecosystem and recovery of threatened and endangered fish populations. We’re busy removing dams, building fishways, and watching how fish are migrating up and down the river. Explore this work in one of NOAA’s 10 Habitat Focus Areas:http://arcg.is/2cQFYTX
