Study Projects Unprecedented Loss of Corals in Great Barrier Reef Due to Warming

From the National Science Foundation (NSF):

Coverage of living ‪#‎corals‬ on Australia's Great Barrier Reef could decline to less than 10 percent if ocean warming continues, according to new research from the ‪#‎NSFfunded‬ National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS). This massive loss of corals would harm both marine biodiversity and the people who depend on healthy reefs for food, tourism and storm protection.
