MONDAY: U.S. EPA Administrator to Keynote Climate Discussion with Bipartisan Policy Center and National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners
WASHINGTON – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy will deliver a keynote address to a workshop convened by the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). This workshop is the third in a series on greenhouse gas (GHG) regulation of existing power plants under the Clean Air Act. Colette D. Honorable of NARUC will also deliver remarks.
EPA is currently taking its first steps under President Obama’s Climate Action Plan to reduce carbon pollution from power plants - the largest stationary source of carbon pollution in the United States.
