Opportunities to Learn about Plans for Lower Burke Canyon Waste Repository

  • Review Early Designs: Public Comments Due June 28
Mark your calendars for a public Open House on June 4, 2013! Drop in any time from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, at the Wallace Inn, 100 Front Street, Wallace, ID to learn about plans for a new waste repository coming to the Lower Burke Canyon.

Early designs are now available for public review in select local libraries and online: http://go.usa.gov/Tvzd. Comments are due June 28Send comments to Bill Adams, ECL-113, EPA, 1200 6th Avenue, Suite 900, Seattle, WA 98101, or email comments to: cdabasin@epa.gov.

The community helped select the site for this repository. Environmental Protection Agency, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality and Basin Environmental Improvement Project Commission Citizens Coordinating Council are hosting the Open House.
