Opossum

From Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife & Fish Refuge:

#USFWS #marsupials

Opossums are the only marsupials native to United States. Like kangaroos, when their babies are born, they climb into a special pouch to continue to grow. Opossums are active during the winter, relying on their dens to stay warm at night.
