From Rocky Mountain National Park:
Westside Wednesday: Survival can be challenging for even the largest mammals that call Rocky Mountain home. To conserve energy during the long winter months, moose will spend most of their time eating and moving slow. Did you know an adult moose can eat up to 70 pounds of food per day? Wildlife have been frequenting the snow-free roadways in the park. Please use extra caution and drive slow. If you are lucky, you may get to see a moose snacking on a tree!
