Garlic Mustard (Alliaria sp.)

Garlic mustard is one of the older known spices. One might surmise that it was brought to America from Europe because it is useful in flavoring food. It has since escaped cultivation and now is known as an invasive species. This specimen was observed in the Overland Park, Kansas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. April 12, 2017.
