A very pregnant radio collared Key deer is found using radio telemetry

#Thursday

From Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges Complex:

A very pregnant radio collared Key deer is found using radio telemetry.

Wildlife radio telemetry is a valuable tool used to track the movement and behavior of animals. It uses the transmission of radio signals to locate, in this case, VHS (very high frequency) transmitters attached to a collar on the deer. The transmitters on the collar consist of an antenna, a power source, and the electronics required to produce a signal. (Photo: USFWS)
