Wild Hybrid Goose?

#Wednesday #Bird #Goose

From Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complex:

The Colusa NWR auto tour is still closed but staff spotted this goose at the platform recently. The photo was taken in 2015 but it was the same bird! It was first seen during the winter of 2013-14 as a juvenile and it might looks to be a white-fronted goose x cackling goose but it was speculated to possibly having Nene goose (Hawaiian bird) in its genetics.
