From the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS):
Pollinators are organisms that aid in the growth and distribution of plants by transferring pollen as a byproduct of their feeding activities. We depend on pollinators, both great and small, in multiple facets of our lives.
During the week of ‘National Pollinator Week’ we hope you'll learn a little more about the importance of these hard workers, and the research we perform, to help conserve native pollinators. Photo credit: Sam Droege, USGS.
